Got the bugger working 4th February

Righto. Just got the scanner working - minor issue with the drivers. So here's a few quick piccies, courtesy of Umax & Kai's photo soap. Fun.

Our old bedroom. Colours have absolutely not been altered in any way, shape, or form. It really was this colour. Wow.

Me, out the back of the house. The bricks don't really bend out like that.

Heather out the front of the house.

The back garden under snow.

One of these men is about to get married. The other just needs a hairdresser.

Mike and mother, immediately prior to Mike's wedding.

The skink that climbed into my hat and Mike's wedding.

Mum brushing Sylvia.

Alison at Piha on our first day in NZ. Let's just say that it was a crash course in exactly how bright a sunny day in NZ can be.

Now hideously outdated, of course. Feb 2K+1

The trip to NZ went off well. Details etc will appear as/when I get around to writing 'em up and scanning 'em in. On the whole: good vibes. Bad things happened on occasion, and there was a certain amount of stress, but on the whole: good vibes. High points: Auckland Zoo, spending time in Nelson chilling with the imported English posse, wandering around Wellington again, seeing the extended family. General "time on the ground". Low points: bad family karma, accomodation hassles around the place, making a special trip to Flesh Wound to say hi to Hamish, and finding that the bugger was off on his holidays. Ah well. Roll on this time next year, when we can head back again.

Tour of NZ, 2001

Advance warning: we'll be back in NZ for a few weeks in January 2001. We arrive in Auckland on the 1st (yup, New Years' Eve in LAX), get to Wellington on the 2nd, and head for Nelson on the 10th. Back up to Auckland in stages, arriving there on the 18th/19th, flying out on the 26th. we get 'em. Percussion & backing vocals courtesy of Alex, Alison and Martyn, who are coming along for the ride. Should be a good one, kids; see you all there.

So if you want to hook up with us while we're back, blat us an email.

Ok, so maybe we aren't that organised. But we are well dressed.
